Shake Your Groove Thing... The Hottest Spots to Go Out Dancing in NYC

Going out in New York City is a whole world of its own and if you're like me you want something with good music, a dance floor, and good people watching. Living in this city for almost 4 years and working in Nightlife has given me a leg up when it comes to the hottest spots to check out this weekend and Im gonna share them with you.
We all know that a typical nightlife "weekend" in NYC isn't just your Friday and Saturday night... it starts on Wednesday's and continues until Sunday's. Starting off right on Wednesday, if you're looking for a low-key spot with great house music and burlesque dancers all around you, you're gonna wanna check out Motel23. At first glance you wouldn't expect anything crazy to be going on but open the doors and let the magic unfold right in front of your eyes.  Thursdays in the city are a go to for college students. You'll always have good luck at your local college bar but if you want to spice it up and hit the dance floor Little Sister Lounge is always a staple Thursday option. The newest music and the coolest celebrities fill this place all weekend but something about Thursdays make it one of the hottest spots in town of the whole weekend. Fridays and Saturdays in the city are always crazy busy wherever you go. If you want some great music with lots of wide variety and a cool aesthetic, Pauls Baby Grand just reopened after a long closing due to the pandemic. The pink walls covered in graffiti and the disco ball make it one of the trendiest spots. Contrary to popular belief, Sundays are the BEST night to go out in the city. A personal fave in AL's world is Pauls Casablanca, owned by the same owners as Pauls Baby Grand but a completely different vibe. If you like bands like The Smiths, The Cure, Joy Division, and The Strokes you would absolutely die for Morrissey Night at Casablanca. The hottest spot on Sundays full of NYC locals and the most immaculate vibes.
Whatever you decide to do this weekend in NYC as long as your with you're besties its always a movie. Who knows maybe we will see each other out this weekend and share a dance.
